Lucid Liars are an indie rock band from Inverness, Scotland, making a striking impact on the Scottish music scene. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as Frightened Rabbit, The Black Keys, and Joy Division, their sound blends powerful rhythmic grooves with elements of shoegaze and rockabilly — creating a uniquely dynamic presence in the Scottish indie rock landscape.

Described as “fiercely independent”, Lucid Liars take a DIY approach to every aspect of their music, from songwriting and recording, to production, promotion, and their live performances. Their independent spirit and distinctive sound have helped them move from strength to strength with every release and live appearance.

Renowned for their electrifying live shows, Lucid Liars have performed at venues across Scotland, including 2 standout appearances on the Seedlings Stage at Belladrum Festival. The band have also headlined iconic grassroots venues including Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh, Broadcast in Glasgow, Hope and Anchor in London, and Raigmore Motel in Inverness, building a reputation for engaging and emotionally driven live shows as a distinct and unique act.

With an impressive catalogue of releases, Lucid Liars have earned attention and acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, building a loyal and growing fanbase.

Their latest album, Hard Times, an evolution of the bands indie rock roots against a backdrop of powerful drums, soaring brass, and emotional vocals, was released on 27 February 2026 and is available now on Spotify, Bandcamp, and Apple Music.
